The construction of a natural stone seawall
Our client contacted us for the restoration of a stone wall by the water. As seawall construction specialists, we took the time the analyze the situation in detail. The existing seawall was at jeopardy of falling apart at any point. Located on the edge of the magnificent Lac St-Louis, this bank is subject to strong waves during storms and to increasingly catastrophic spring floods. After studying several techniques to stabilize the shore, we built a new seawall to counter the erosive action of waves and current. Before starting the work, we gave the mandate of the seawall’s build to an engineering firm.

In collaboration with the engineer and the city council, we designed a detailed plan of execution. The proposed seawall consisted of Armor Stone of impressive dimensions and weight. The result is a reliable and beautiful construction. For Phase 2 of the project, we are going to brighten the appearance of the wall with different vegetative strata that are well suited to thrive in seawalls. Among other things, the vegetation reduces the speed of runoff and provides shelter and food for wildlife.
Thanks to our expert landscapers in the construction of this type of wall, we have designed a reliable and durable seawall that will protect our client’s property for years to come.
