A sturdy backyard retaining wall reconstruction to support the steep incline of the sloped streets in downtown Montreal.
We had the amazing opportunity to work with these clients in Outremont, where properties are on steep inclined streets. Our clients needed their backyard supporting retaining wall reconstructed, which was a big project since the property is on a huge incline, due to the slope of the road.
Our designers created a plan for constructing a solid and structurally sound retaining wall, which held up our client’s backyard between their neighbour on the lower level. This wall added privacy from their neighbours and supported the slanted incline of their property. After demolition and excavation of the old wall, they created a concrete framework, including drainage and backfilling. A privacy fence was built on top of the wall for added security and landscaped with lush gardens all around the backyard perimeter.
The patio area was built with 30″ × 20″ Techo-Bloc Para slabs to complement the shape of the pool. Greyed Nickel colour was used for all pavers of the patio, including along the pool which gave it a modern feel. The walkway and steps leading to their backyard was completely redone to match the rest of the landscaping.
We transformed their backyard into a haven to sit by the pool, relax amongst the greenery and enjoy their new outdoor living space in peace.
