With a brand-new build on a large plot of sandy land in Hudson, there was a whirlwind of creativity that DLC was able to utilize in the building and imagination of this beachfront home.

Our clients dreamed of building their retirement home in the perfect tucked away location and contracted DLC, along with a well-known landscape architect to turn their vision into reality. Between the three parties, our ideas and feel for the project married into a beautiful final product.

As our clients were looking to build a certified LEED home and landscape, DLC was tasked to incorporate natural elements into the project – seen with natural stone pathways and pool deck, a permeable paver driveway and the use of recycled lumber to make the farm fence and fencing around the property. As far as softscape goes, we incorporated large gardens contouring the house with native plants from Quebec.

It was an honour and pleasure to bring our client’s enviro-friendly dream home and landscape to life.
