A classic concrete finishing technique and night lighting brings this Beaconsfield home’s appeal to a whole new level.
We gave this residence a full-face lift!
For starters, we replaced the asphalt driveway with an exposed aggregate concrete driveway with a beautiful gray paver border. Along the driveway, we installed a lighting system. Lighting brings an aspect of safety yet invites all those who are welcomed.
To surround the front courtyard, we used a beautiful boxwood hedge, a first choice for a contemporary garden. We framed the front of the house with two beautiful Hydrangeas. A mixture of Astilbes, Berberis, Carex and Microbiota completes the flower bed.
We rebuilt the inner courtyard with the same pavers used along the driveway. A nice little luxury, we installed a heating system under the pavement. A heating system is the ideal solution to prevent the accumulation of snow and ice. These systems form a heat net under the pavement that can be activated automatically or by simply toggling a switch when the snow falls or ice begins to form. This allows you to use much less salt or other chemical melting agents. These chemicals can damage or even discolor your pavers and as such, a heated pathway is a great solution. The front stoop allows visitors a comfortable spot to wait before entering your home.
