We worked with the homeowners to create a landscape plan that reflected their tastes and included defined areas in the landscape for different types of activities.
The owners were required to replant many trees to replace those which had been removed. After many revisions to the plan, we arrived at the final version that fulfilled the client’s wish list and met the many requirements of the city. Our crews completed the project in stages, first working through the property installing the many patios and walkways. The gravel bases were installed in the fall of the year that the house was built. The project was continued the following spring to ensure that the ground had settled and that all of the stonework would remain smooth and solid for years to come.
Once the hardscape elements were completed, our planting crews installed the many trees and perennial gardens throughout the property. Our team coordinated the installation of the pool, fencing and irrigation system to ensure the best value and end result for the homeowners.
The completed project includes a fenced area for the pool and large patio, and separate patios for dining and lounging areas. Another patio is located at the side of the house, creating a space that is away from the action in the backyard.
The front walkways needed to be large enough to suit the house and it was decided to add a walkway to the street, keeping in the tradition of the neighborhood. The stonework is far from monotonous with accent bandings and changes in pattern used to highlight its layout.
